  • Account data: Username, hashed password, gender, age , and your recovery code hash.
  • Discord data: Your Discord user ID, username, and avatar URL, obtained via Discord OAuth.
  • Roblox data: Your Roblox username, user ID, and avatar image, obtained when you verify your account.
  • Activity data: Likes, matches, messages, and interactions within the platform.
  • Technical data: IP address (used for account limits and security), session tokens, and browser information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Noventis platform
  • Provide the matching algorithm and social features
  • Authenticate your identity and protect your account
  • Enforce our Terms of Service and prevent abuse
  • Display your profile to potential matches (based on your preferences)
  • Send in-platform notifications relevant to your activity

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We only share your information in the following limited circumstances:

  • With other users: Your profile (username, Roblox avatar, age, gender) is shown to other users in the discovery feed when you are active. Your Discord username and ID are never shared publicly.
  • Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal process.
  • Safety: We may share information to protect the safety of our users or the public.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as fraud prevention).

Message history may be retained for up to 90 days after account deletion for moderation and abuse prevention purposes.

5. Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including:

  • Argon2id password hashing with high memory cost parameters
  • CSRF protection on all state-changing operations
  • JWT-based session tokens with server-side revocation
  • Rate limiting to prevent brute-force attacks
  • Input validation and parameterized database queries

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but we continuously work to protect your information.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.

7. Children's Privacy

Noventis is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If we become aware that a user is under 16, we will promptly delete their account and associated data.

8. Third-Party Services

Noventis integrates with the following third-party services:

  • Discord: Used for authentication. Subject to Discord's Privacy Policy.
  • Roblox: Used for profile verification and avatar display. Subject to Roblox's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Fonts / Cloudflare: Used for fonts and CDN delivery. These services may log request data.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify users via an in-platform notice. Your continued use of Noventis after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
